Getting Started with SuperLearn

Learn how to set up your account and start using SuperLearn effectively.

Welcome to SuperLearn

SuperLearn is a powerful learning tool designed to help you remember what you learn for the long term. This guide will walk you through the basics of setting up your account and getting started with the key features.

1. Create an app on your computer/mobile (PWA)

To get started with SuperLearn, It's best if you save superlearn.now by 'Add to your dock' on a mac, and 'Add to home screen.' on Android. This allows you to save the data, it will still work in a browser, but you will loose everything if you clear your history. It's also best to export your data in case you need to get it back at any point later on.

2. Creating Your First Note

Notes are the foundation of SuperLearn. They allow you to capture information and convert it into flashcards for effective learning.

To create your first note:

  1. Click the "+ Add Note" button in the top navigation bar
  2. Enter a title for your note
  3. Add your content using the rich text editor. Use format '# Topic' on one line, then on a new line add your notes. Repeat this process for each topic of a note.
  4. Click "Save" when you're done

Pro Tip

Use Markdown formatting to structure your notes. Headings, lists, and emphasis make your notes easier to review later.

3. Creating Flashcards

SuperLearn makes it easy to convert your notes into flashcards for spaced repetition practice. Here's how:

  1. Open a note you've created
  2. Click 'Generate flashcards' button
  3. Any changes you make to a note, press the 'Generate Flashcards' again to update the flashcards

4. Reviewing Your Flashcards

SuperLearn uses a spaced repetition algorithm to optimize your learning. When it's time to review your flashcards:

  1. Click on "Review" in the main navigation
  2. You'll see cards that are due for review
  3. After viewing the front of a card, try to recall the answer before flipping it to see the back of the card
  4. Rate your recall between "Hard" or "Easy"
  5. SuperLearn will schedule the next review based on your rating

5. Organizing with Tags

Tags help you organize your notes and flashcards. To add tags to a note or flashcard, simply type the tag name in the tag field. You can then link notes, and review by tags.
